Hot Spring Day Tour

The tour will start at  your convenient time though we propose to start around 7 am.There is natural clean spring water. Ideal for swimming in the warm water and relaxation. The surrounding areas provide stunning views with a great picnic spot and tour into one of the Maasai huts will be worthwhile. The drive from Arusha to Kikuletwa Hot Springs will start on paved road toward Moshi before turning left onto a gravel road about 30 minutes later. The road will take you through gorgeous African countryside past bushland, dry riverbeds, baobab and acacia trees among many others.

The hot springs are a hidden little tropical oasis found approximately 1 hour drive from Arusha. The journey there alone is interesting- driving through Maasai land, past bomas and young warriors herding cattle. You will find yourself wondering how on earth you could find this lush place in such a dry land, scattered with Baobab trees and acacias… and then you will come upon this tropical little paradise full of palms and crystal clear waters. The warm (not necessarily hot!) and fresh waters are great for a relaxing swim and you can picnic under the trees, sometimes along with a group of vervet monkeys. Spend as long or as little as you would like here taking in great views of both Mt Meru and Mt Kilimanjaro before returning to Arusha.
